Newsletter 23rd April

Active Schools Week: Active School Week is taking place this week. We would encourage all pupils to wear their tracksuit and runners for the full week.

Gardening: Michael Costello from the Heritage Council will be working with all the children on gardening/pollytunnel/pollination over 5 teaching sessions this term. The first lesson for all children will be on this Thursday the 26th of April. The cost per session per child is €1.00.

Swimming: Swimming will commence this Friday April 27st at The Apex, New Ross. The Children from 3rd to 6th classes are going by bus from the school at 12.20pm approx. and will return to the school at 2.30pm approx. The children will need to bring a towel, swimming togs, swimming hats, goggles, and €1 coin for a secure locker (refundable). The cost for the six weeks is €30 and this includes the bus/pool hire and pool instructors. The Parents Association are subsidising this. Swimming is part of the school PE curriculum and normal school rules or behaviour apply.

Lego: We would like to ask parents, grandparents and the wider community for any lego that might be lying around unused in presses, cupboards or attics that they might be able to drop it into the school anytime so as to build up a resource box of lego. The lego doesn’t have to be part of a full set. It can be dropped into a box in the school office.

School Closures: The school will be closed on the following days.
