GUSSERANE NATIONAL SCHOOL

NEWSLETTER

       December 19th, 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Christmas is upon us once more and as another year ends, we think back on a great year for Gusserane NS.  Firstly, I would like to thank you as parents/guardians for the wonderful children you send to Gusserane NS and for all the support you give them in their learning and the school.  Thank you for the support that you give the teachers in the school in their work.

As you know we recently had a whole school inspection and the feedback from the Inspectors was fantastic for the school community.  He was full of praise for the children of the school and their learning, the quality of teaching and teachers in the school and the excellent management of the school by the Board of Management.  He was extremely delighted with the Parents Association and their good work in and for the school.  All parts for the school community were working together to create a very happy and positive atmosphere and that we should all be very proud of what we have achieved in Gusserane NS for the children.  I thank you all for your contribution to this great work and thanks for the positive feedback and advice from our school inspectors.  The report will be online in the new year for all to read and we will let you know when the report is online.

I would like to wish the whole school community every blessing and happiness for a peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2020.  Thanks to pupils, parents/guardians, teachers, the board of management new and old under the chairpersonship of Martin Murphy, the Parents Association under the chairpersonship of Geraldine Purcell, the priests of the parish especially Fr. Laffan, Sandra our Secretary, Bridget Keating our caretaker and Kieran Keating.

Santa has told me through his robins that he is looking forward to visiting the Gusserane area on Christmas Eve and that the boys and girls should be in bed early that night.  He loves milk and mince pies and a carrot or some food for the reindeers.

Nollaig shona daoibh go léir agus athbhlianin faoi mhaise daoibh go leir.

Happy Christmas to all and best wishes for the New Year.  Many thanks again to everybody for helping out Gusserane NS and creating such a happy atmosphere for all.
