Gusserane N.S. is a rural mixed National School under the patronage of the Bishop of Ferns.
There are 93 boys and girls enrolled in our school from Junior Infants to 6th class.
There are 5 teachers in the school, teaching principal, 3 mainstream class teachers, and 1 Special Education teacher.
The school consists of 4 classrooms, 1 Learning Support/Resource room, and a school office. An additional classroom is under construction and will be ready in 2018.
There is a large colourful playground which contains a basketball court, school garden with a poly tunnel, and a playing pitch. The school has access to a handball alley, local G.A.A. pitch and community hall.
Each class is equipped with a variety of I.C.T. tools including interactive whiteboards.
The school is in close proximity to a variety of amenities e.g. Tintern Abbey, John F. Kennedy Arboretum, Hook Lighthouse and Duncannon Beach. The school makes full use of these great resources throughout the year.
