Fundraising for Sophia!


In Our Thoughts: We would like to wish Sophia McMahon-Egan a pupil in Junior Infants a very speedy recovery as she currently undergoes treatment in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. Sophia was diagnosed with stage 4 Wilms tumours and mentastatic tumours just before Christmas. We would ask you all to keep Sophia and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Minibeast Hunt! - 29/05/2018


Aqua Attack 

The class completed the Aqua Attack programme in school with the help of Dopper the Dolphin and a very fun, colourful, and informative workbook.

We had lots of fun over the last 3 weeks learning about the Food Pryamid, how to brush our teeth and what happens when we go to the dentist. Big Thank You to Claire the Dental Hygienist for coming in and giving the class a very informative and fun talk.

The kids had loads of fun this morning in the snow!!

World Ploughing Contest

Local ploughing Champion John Whelan visited the school on the 1st of Feb to talk to the classes about his amazing second win in the World Ploughing Contest last year in Kenya. He brought along his trophys and medals that he won while he was over there.

January Recycling Projects

The Junior and Senior infants did an amazing job this month on their recycling projects. They worked alongside their fantastic families to create pieces that they might use in the future in their chosen careers!


Christmas in Gusserane!

We have had lots of fun over the last few weeks getting ready for our Nativity Play.

In Aistear we pretended to by Elves in Santa's Workshop helping to get the toys ready.

We used our handprints to make colourful Christmas Trees.



We had so much fun rolling around on the mats and learning how to do a cart wheel and forward roll correct with Gymstars!


Halloween Week!!

We had so much fun on halloween week, we made our own witches potion and magical playdough, We learnt about bees and the water cycle with Michael and had a spooky colourful Halloween party!! :)
