The Infants learned all about St. Brigid on the 1st of February. We coloured in St. Brigid’s Crosses and we learned about the beginning of Springtime. We looked at pictures of Wintertime and Springtime and discussed the differences we could see in each picture.
We enjoyed our Rugby lessons with Katie this month. We learned lots of new skills and some fun co-operate games. We were delighted to welcome Ann Marie Cooney back to school for dance lessons. We learned some new dance moves for the song ‘Try Everything’. We are looking forward to the rest of our lessons up until Easter time.
The Infants constructed some lovely hearts for Valentines Day. We also started getting ready for our VIP Day in March by beginning some artwork for our VIP’s. We also learned about Lent and we enjoyed some yummy pancakes on Pancake Tuesday. We picked our favourite toppings to put on our pancakes.
In SESE we learned about looking after the environment. Our Topic was ‘The Recycling Centre’. The children learned about what materials can be recycled. We enjoyed working in the Recycling Centre sorting out the different materials. We also enjoyed reading the story ‘Morris the Magpie’ and enjoyed going on a hunt for different materials.
We were delighted to have Ms. Molloy in at the end of the month to teach the class. The Infants began their topic of ‘Springtime’ and enjoyed learning lots of new vocabulary in English and Irish.
